no photo available
A SHORT HISTORY OF THE INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE MOVEMENT by Albert Léon Guérard, Boni and Liveright Publishers. No date, circa 1920s.
This is a study of the necessity and development of an international language. In our times (2000s), English has become the international language, but in the first part of the last century, scholars discussed how to approach this problem. The author divides the volume into parts, natural languages and artificial languages including Esperanto. Eminently readable, not boring!
